Heritage Tour of Himachal

Destination: Delhi-Nalagarh-Shimla-Kullu-Manali-Palampur-Dharamsala-Pragpur-Chandigarh– Delhi
Start Point: Delhi
End Point: Delhi
Day1:Delhi  
Arrive Delhi and later transfer to the hotel. Evening free for visiting bazaars and Light & Sound Show at Red Fort.
Overnight at hotel.
 
Day2:Delhi  
Full day city tour of Delhi to Old and New Delhi visiting Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Raj Ghat, Chandni Chowk, Lakshmi Narayanan Temple, Qutab Minar, India Gate and drive past President House, Parliament House, Secretariat Building and Connaught Place.
Overnight at hotel.
 
Day3:Delhi-Nalagarh  
After breakfast drive to Nalagarh Fort- located on a hillock at the foothills of the mighty Himalayas affording a panoramic view of the Shivalik Hills beyond the Sirsa River. The fort and the palace of Nalagarh have a series of structures that are mostly built in the Mughal style of architecture. These have been exhaustively renovated and are now a quality heritage resort.
Overnight at the resort.
 
Day4:Nalagarh-Shimla  
Early morning drive to the Queen of Hill Stations-Shimla. Later you can visit the Mall Road, which is the main shopping center of Shimla.
Overnight at hotel.
 
Day5:Shimla  
Tour the beautiful locations of Shimla.
Christ Church- the second oldest church in Northern India, with a very majestic appearance and inside there is a stained glass window, which represent faith, hope, charity, fortitude, patience and humility.
Jakhu Hill-the highest peak and offers a beautiful view of the town and of the snow-covered Himalayas.
Chail- it is a little mountainous heaven 45 kms. from Shimla. The forests near Chail have many species of birds and deer.
Kufri-16 kms. from Shimla and the winter sports capital. During winter, visitors have the facility for skiing. Kufri is a lovely picnic spot with a beautiful view of the hills around and the snowy peaks. There is also a zoo that delights children.

Day6:Shimla-Manali  
After breakfast drive to Manali enroute visiting Kullu. Later transfer to the hotel. In the evening walk around the mall road.

Day7:Manali  
Today visit the Switzerland of India-Manali.
Rohtang Pass- The highest point, 4,112m, on the Manali-Keylong road, 51-km from Manali town. It provides a wide panoramic view of mountains rising far above clouds, which is a sight truly breath-taking.
Solang Valley-it offers the view of glaciers and snow capped mountains and peaks. It has fine ski slopes.
Kothi- a picturesque spot and an ideal resting resorts of poets, writers and the lovers of peaceful environs
Hadimba Temple- Hadimba or Dhungiri temple in Manali is one of the most important temples in the region.
Vashist Hot Water Springs and Temple-Renowned for its hot springs and temples. Overnight at hotel.
 
Day8:Manali-Palampur  
Today travel to tea capital of northwest India- Palampur enroute visiting Baijnath for the famous Lord Shiva’s Temple. Later on reaching their visit the famous tea gardens, Taragarh Palace, and Andretta.
Overnight at hotel.
 
Day9:Palampur-Dharamshala  
After breakfast drive to Dharamshala. Later transfer to the hotel. Evening free for leisure activities.

Day10:Dharamshala  
Today visit the city viewing
St. John`s Church- The charming dressed- stone church of St. John in the wildness. McLeodganj-Often called the` Little Lhasa` at 1770 m; this is the residence of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. The large Tibetan community and the presence of traditional architectural designs drawn from Tibet have enhanced the area.
Bhagsunath-Close to fresh water springs; this ancient temple is 11 km from Dharamshala. It is a popular picnic spot and the famous slate quarries are close by. Also visit Dharmkot, Triund, and many more.

Day11:Dharamshala-Paragpur-Chandigarh  
Travel to Paragpur- the first ever heritage village of India. It is replete with history and is the home of the famous Kangra School of paintings.
Later transfer to the hotel in Chandigarh and visit the famous gardens-The Rock Garden and the Rose Garden.
Overnight at hotel.
 
Day12:Chandigarh-Delhi  
After breakfast visit The Sukhna Lake and The Mansa Devi Temple, Pinjore Garden. Later return back to Delhi to catch your flight towards onward destination.
