Kerala, the land of `green magic`, is often referred to as the "God`s Own Country."
Trirvandrum is the capital of the state, while other important places include Kochi,
Kovalam, Thrissur, Kozhikode, Munnar, Palakkad, Alappuzha, Kollam and Kannur. Since
time immemorial, the entire state is known for its inherent tranquility. Known as
the land of rivers and backwaters, Kerala is a narrow strip which stretches between
the high western ghats and the vast Arabian Sea. Kerala is gifted with varied
landscapes that include hills and valleys, midland plains and coastal belts.
This small enchanting land contains jungles, beaches, mountains, lake and
some of the amazing natural resources in the world. Kerala is the place where
all the major religions like Hinduism, Islam, Christian co-exist harmoniously.
Ancient temples, mosques and churches rub shoulders, in fact here temples greet
mosques, mosques wish churches and churches welcome temples. Today, Kerala is keeping
pace with the modern advancements, but the state`s heritage remains unaffected by modernization.
