MUMBAI: It is the capital city of Maharashtra and is the financial powerhouse of the country. Also well known commercial capital of India, fast paced cosmopolitan city. This historic city, extends along the sea, has grand buildings and is the center of India`s Hindi film industry. The city is famous as the center of glamour and glitz due to the presence of Indian film industry. Mumbai is also a historical city having many attractions to offer to a visitor.

ELEPHANTA CAVES: These caves are located at a distance of 10 kms off the Mumbai Coast in an island and date back to 450 to 750 AD. They are known for the magnificent rock cut sculptures that depict the grandeur of Lord Shiva. One can reach the island from the Gateway of India from where you can avail frequent boats that ferry passengers to and from Elephanta all day along.
PUNE: It is an important town of Maharashtra and is also known as “Oxford of the East” due to the presence of a large number of prestigious education institutes. Its ancient forts, caves, temples and bewitching natural beauty are some of the irresistible temptations for the travelers. The second largest city of Maharashtra, Pune, is the place which was home to the Maratha leader, Shivaji for a long time. AURANGABAD: Known for its medieval monuments and cultural heritage, the city of Aurangabad was the seat of the Mughal Empire for a short span. The town has derived its name from Aurangzeb, the Mughal emperor, and it served as the headquarters during his governorship over Deccan. It is a world famous city due to the presence of the Ajanta and Ellora caves regarded as the world heritage sites. These sites have Buddhist, Jain and Hindu temples. Aurangabad is also famous for it`s silk and cotton textiles.

AJANTA CAVES: The world heritage Ajanta caves are one of the few historical and architectural marvels of India. It was discovered accidentally during the 19th century by a group of British officers who were on a tiger hunt. These caves are located deep within the Sahyadri hills above the Waghora. They describe the story of Lord Buddha and Buddhism religion that prevailed here during 200 BC to 650 AD.
ELLORA CAVES: The Ellora cave temples are regarded as the World heritage sites of India. They are situated just 30 kilometers northwest of Aurangabad. It can be easily reached from the nearby major towns. There are almost 34 monasteries and temples that date back from 600 to 1000 AD. The temples of Ellora are dedicated to Brahmanism, Jainism, and Buddhism. The cave temples here have some superior carvings on the stone depicting the legends related to Lord Shiva.
DAULATABAD FORT: The exquisite Daulatabad fort is located just 13 kilometers from Aurangabad on the way to Ellora, makes an excellent travel excursion from Aurangabad. The fort was built during the 12th century by king Bhillama of Yadav dynasty. It is situated on a pyramid shaped hill making it a major attraction here. According to the locals here, the Daulatabad fortress was earlier known as `Devgiri`. Later the name was changed to Daulatabad by Mohammed Bin Tughlaq, Sultan of Delhi.
SHIRDI: It is situated approximately 144 kilometers from Aurangabad. It is an important excursion destination from Aurangabad and is considered as a holy place by the Hindus. Innumerable tourists come throughout the year to visit the shrine of Sidhi Sai Baba, located here. Apart from this, there are some more holy shrines closely related to Sai Baba here.
MAHABALESHWAR: The beautiful hills station of Mahabaleshwar is snuggled in the sloppy mountain ranges of the western ghats of Maharashtra. This hill station is a respite from the hustle and bustle of the crowded cities offering a clean, calm and refreshing environment. Mahabaleshwar was discovered by the Britishers, who were always in search of places that provided them relief from the heat of the plains. Thus, the city still retains some of the old world charm.

PANCHGANI: It is situated at a distance of 19 kms from Mahabaleshwar. It is also a hill station and is like sister town to Mahabaleshwar. Panchgani is regarded as a health resort surrounded by five hills after which it is named. It is a beautiful and enriching place.
KHANDALA: It is one of the important hill stations in the state of Maharashtra and is the pride of the Sahyadri Mountains. Khandala is endowed with abundant natural beauty, it is also provides a popular gateway from the hustle and bustle of cities of Mumbai and Pune. The picturesque green surroundings of this pretty hill station attract the travelers towards it.
NAGPUR: It is regarded as the second capital of Maharashtra. It is also called the orange-growing capital of India, since it is the largest Orange producer in India. Nagpur is named after the river Nag, on the banks of which the city is situated.

RATNAGIRI: The town of Ratnagiri is located in the southwestern part of Maharashtra State on the Arabian Sea coast. Ratnagiri`s surrounding area is encircled by the Sahyadri Hills on the West. Thus, this area receives heavy rainfall which results into highly eroded landscape in the coastal region.
